Why You Will Love Pumpkin Bread with 2 Ingredients
The 2 Ingredients You Need for This Bread
Ingredient quantities for this easy pumpkin bread recipe are located in the recipe card at the end of the post.
- Spice cake mix – I highly recommend the Duncan Hines mix for superior flavor! (I like to buy it on Amazon because I find it’s typically cheaper than my local grocery stores)
- Pumpkin puree (100% puree; not pumpkin pie mix)
How To Make Pumpkin Bread With 2-Ingredients (Quick Overview)
The steps below are just a quick overview of how to make the bread. The full process in detail is located in the recipe card at the end of the post.
Gather your two ingredients. You only need the dry cake mix and the pumpkin puree, that’s it! Trust the process and you will be rewarded with fantastic pumpkin bread. 😊
I highly recommend using Duncan Hines for the best flavor and the right cake mix size. With “shrinkflation,” Betty Crocker mixes are now 13.25 oz instead of 15.25 oz. If you opt for a Betty Crocker mix, use 13 oz of pumpkin puree instead of 15 oz.

Prepare your loaf pan with parchment paper for easy removal, then mix the puree and the dry cake mix on low speed, being careful not to overmix.

Add the batter to your prepared loaf pan.
If you find it hard to get the batter to even out, use a spatula sprayed with non-stick cooking spray.

Bake, cool, and enjoy!

Serve plain or topped with options like:
- Butter
- Honey
- Pumpkin butter
- Peanut butter or another nut butter
