How To Make Deviled Eggs

The steps below are just a quick overview of how to make the recipe. The full process in detail is located in the recipe card at the end of the post.

Start by boiling your eggs with your favorite method. If you don’t have a preferred method, here is what I do:

  • Place eggs in a saucepan and cover with cold water and 2 tbsp white vinegar.
  • Bring to a rolling boil, then cover the pan and remove it from the heat.
  • After 11 minutes, place the eggs in an ice bath.

Once you’ve peeled the eggs, slice them in half and place the yolks in a bowl.

Mash the yolks first, then add all of the remaining ingredients except for the paprika. Stir until the mixture is smooth and combined, like this:

Spoon the mixture into the whites, sprinkle with paprika if desired, and serve!

  • Do not leave deviled eggs out at room temperature for more than two hours. If you’re busy and forget about them, it’s better to toss them than take the risk.
  • They can safely stay in the fridge for four days. But for maximum flavor, eating them within the first day or two is your best bet.
