- Hard-boiled eggs
- Pickle relish (sweet or dill)
- Celery
- Honey mustard
- Mayonnaise
- Salt and pepper
How To Make Ham Salad (Quick Overview)

Prepare your ingredients and place them in a large bowl. No need for separate dishes – this recipe is really easy!
If you would like to use this as a sandwich filling or dip (vs. a side dish salad), dice the cheese to approximately the same size as the diced ham. As pictured, it’s for a side dish.

Mix until the ingredients are evenly distributed.
If you would like the salad to have more crunch, add the optional celery noted in the recipe card (at the end of the post).

Cover and place in the fridge to chill for at least one hour.

Before serving, give everything a good stir. Enjoy!

Ham Salad

Ingredients
- 6 oz diced ham (see notes)
- 6 oz cheese (Swiss, cheddar, or mozzarella, diced; see notes)
- 2 hard-boiled eggs (diced)
- 1/3 cup pickle relish (sweet or dill)
- 1-2 stalks celery (diced; optional)
- 2 tsp honey mustard
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Add all ingredients to a large bowl and mix to combine.
- Cover and chill for at least one hour before serving.
Notes
- I buy packaged diced ham to save time, but you can also cut your own.
- If you would like to use this as a sandwich filling or dip (rather than a side dish salad), dice the cheese to approximately the same size as the diced ham.

I make this as a work side dish. I can’t explain why it is so good, but it is!
I couldn’t believe how addicting this salad was to eat! Thankfully, it was low carb and it really fills that need for something that won’t spike my husband’s insulin levels.
This was perfect as a simple side dish!
