  • In a large mixing bowl, combine all meatball ingredients except garlic and olive oil.
  • Photo 1: Form the mixture into meatballs that are 1 1/2” in size. Place them on a plate and set aside.
  • Over low heat, add olive oil to a large skillet. Once heated, add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant.
  • Add the meatballs to the skillet, increase heat to medium, and cook until they are browned and thoroughly cooked.

Tips

  • Work in batches at this step if necessary.
  • Food safety first! To make sure your meatballs are fully cooked, a meat thermometer inserted into the middle should read at least 165 F. 🌡
  • Photo 2: Pour marinara sauce over the meatballs in the skillet. Reduce heat to low and cook for 20 minutes.

Tip

If your skillet isn’t large enough, transfer meatballs to a pot before adding marinara sauce. (Mine wasn’t – the skillet shown above is for photo purposes only. I transferred everything to my Dutch oven!)

  • Photos 3 and 4: Serve the meatballs, optionally garnished with additional shredded Parmesan cheese (or grated).
