How To Make Sweet Potato Fries in an Air Fryer (Quick Overview)

The steps below are just a quick overview of how to make air fried sweet potatoes. The full process in detail is located in the recipe card at the end of the post.

  • Peel, then slice the sweet potatoes into 1/4-inch thick sticks.
  • In a mixing bowl, toss the sweet potatoes with seasoning to coat them evenly.
  • Arrange the sweet potatoes in the air fryer with space between each fry. Cook for 12 minutes, flipping them at the 6-minute mark for consistent crispiness.
  • Serve the sweet potatoes warm immediately after removing them from the air fryer. Pair them with ketchup, aioli, mayonnaise, or your preferred dipping sauce.

Ingredients

  • 2 large sweet potatoes about 1 1/2 pounds
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp pepper
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp paprika

Instructions

  • If your air fryer has the option, preheat it to 380°F. If not, run the air fryer for 2-3 minutes at 380°F before adding the sweet potatoes.
