Bacon may not win any beauty contests, but it certainly knows how to steal the show with its incredible flavor! This air-fried bacon is irresistibly crispy and packed with delicious flavor—perfect for your next meal.

Why You Will Love Air Fryer Bacon

  • Cooking bacon in an air fryer means way less mess (and fat) than traditional methods since the extra grease collects in a drip tray, making clean-up super easy.
  • Cooking bacon in an air fryer is quick and easy—it only takes a few minutes, which is perfect for those busy mornings or when you need a quick snack.
  • Air Fryer Bacon has a crispy texture that’s hard to beat with other cooking methods, making it a favorite for bacon fans!

How To Make Air Fryer Bacon (Quick Overview)

The steps below are just a quick overview of how to make the air fryer recipe. The full process is detailed in the recipe card at the end of the post.

First, start with your bacon—of course! 🥓

You can use any kind of bacon, but the cook time will depend on how thick your slices are. If you go with turkey bacon, it’ll cook way quicker since it’s thinner and has less fat.

I usually grab some Appleton Farms Thick Cut Bacon from Aldi, which is what I used in these photos. Sometimes, I go for the Appleton Farms Premium Sliced Bacon instead (also available at Aldi).

Photo 1: Gently shape the bacon into a loose accordion style, just like in the picture, and pop it into your air fryer basket.

Tips

  • Don’t stress about overcrowding the basket at first; the bacon will shrink a lot, and you’ll be stirring it during cooking anyway.
  • You can also lay the bacon flat in the air fryer basket to cook it. (Just a heads-up: Depending on your air fryer size, you might need to work in batches.) I personally get a bit too impatient for that method, so I prefer the “accordion method” instead.

Photo 2: Turn on your air fryer and set it to 400 F.

Cook the bacon for 6 to 10 minutes, adjusting to your preferred level of crispiness. Remember to open the fryer and give the bacon a stir every 3 minutes for that perfect, even crunch.
