How To Make Easy Healthy Turkey Chili (Quick Overview)
The steps below are just a quick overview of how to make the healthy turkey chili. The full process in detail is located in the recipe card at the end of the post.
- To a saute pan on medium-low heat, add olive oil. When olive oil is heated, add carrots and red onion and saute until the onion begins to turn translucent.
- Add garlic and cook until onions are translucent and the garlic is starting to brown.
- Add ground turkey and cook until the turkey is cooked through.
- Add chili seasoning and chopped bell pepper. Stir to thoroughly incorporate the chili seasoning into the mixture.
- Add kidney beans, black beans, diced tomatoes, tomato paste, and chicken stock, and again thoroughly stir the mixture. Bring it to a low boil.
- Then, reduce the heat to a gentle simmer. Simmer the chili, uncovered, for 20-25 minutes, stirring occasionally until the chili reaches your desired thickness.

Turkey Chili

Ingredients
- 3 tbsp olive oil
- 1 medium red onion (chopped)
- 2 cloves garlic (diced)
- 1 medium red bell pepper (chopped)
- 1 large carrot (diced)
- 2 lbs ground turkey
- 14 oz can kidney beans (drained and rinsed)
- 14 oz can black beans (drained and rinsed)
- 1 serving Homemade Chili Seasoning Mix (see notes)
- 28 oz can diced tomatoes
- 6 oz tomato paste
- 1 1/2 cups chicken stock
Instructions
