Note

Because natural peanut butter can vary in texture by brand, sometimes this recipe needs a little tweaking to properly form peanut butter balls.

If your dough is too wet: Stick the batter in the fridge for 10-20 minutes. Alternatively, you can add 1 tbsp of ground oats or whole oats at a time until you reach your desired texture.

If your dough is too dry: Start by adding 1 tbsp maple syrup, then 1 tbsp peanut butter, alternativing and mixing in between each addition until you reach your desired texture.

Important Tips for Peanut Butter Balls

  • Make sure to thoroughly stir or process your natural peanut butter! The oils in natural peanut butter need to be thoroughly incorporated for the correct texture. For best results, empty your peanut butter into a food processor and use the food processor to mix it all before adding it back to the jar.
  • Store the peanut butter balls in the fridge in an airtight container. Because of the natural oils in this dessert, these cannot be stored outside of the fridge or they will begin to lose their shape. They taste best chilled anyway! 😊
